Made entirely from archive footage produced by the “Alexandru Sahia” film studio in 1968, the most prosperous and optimistic year of the socialist era, the documentary Certainty of Probabilities examines the efforts of an entire state apparatus to ensure social stability in a society that claimed to have eliminated exploitative and alienating labour relations.
